Sample Provence Itineraries
With its feet in the Mediterranean and its head in the Alps, the region has an extensive palette of colorful landscapes. The Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region covers the south-east corner of France.
Explore scenic Provence through the art, fragrances and flavors that have attracted creative souls to this region for centuries. From the purple-hued hillsides and powerful mistral wind to the Mediterranean coast and the lively boulevards of Aix-en-Provence once frequented by Paul Cézanne, Provence evokes an unparalleled history and sensibility.
Day 1: Enjoy a visit of Avignon with a tour of the Popes Palaces and a private cooking class at La Mirande.
Day 2: Enjoy a visit of the Lubéron full of ancient villages, castles, forts , ruins, natural wonder , including Gordes, Roussillon and the Abbaye de Senanque.
Day 3: This morning, depart for the Alpilles. Tour an olive grove and a visit of Les Baux de Provence, an immense and superb stone fortress.
Day 4: Depart for Aix en Provence, city of light and art, and follow the steps of Cezanne with a private painting workshop.
Day 5: Explore the Camargue, a paradise for migratory birds, flamingoes, bulls and horses, by 4×4 bike.
THE GREEN PROVENCE
Day 1: Depart for Mènerbes to enjoy a truffle hunt and visit the Medieval villages of Lourmarin and Bonnieux
Day 2: After a private hot air ballooning flight over Provence, take the “lavender trail” and arrive in Moustier Sainte Marie for dinner and overnight at The Bastide de Moustiers, a small inn run by Alain Ducasse’s team.
Day 3: Enjoy a visit of the deep cliff of the Gorges du Verdo, or choose a private ceramic work shop & cooking class at Moustiers.
Day 4: Depart for the Green Var, passing by the medieval villages of Bargème, and Seillans, classified as “the most beautiful villages of France” and dine at the Abbaye de Celle , a small inn run by Alain Ducasse’s team.
Day 5: You will be welcomed by the owner of one of the the Var vineyards and will learn everything about wine production. Later, stop for a visit of St Madeleine Basilica.
Day 6: Discover Cassis and the “Calanques” with a private cruise on the Mediterranean.
